The DePaul Blue Demons were able to land the services of Washington D.C. guard Brandon Young, who offered up his verbal commitment on an official visit to Lincoln Park. Young, a six-foot-three, one hundred eighty pound point guard from Friendship Collegiate High School, is the Blue Demons first commitment for the 2010 class. This past summer, Young was a part of the very successful Team Takeover squad.
The scouting report on Young is that he is a very quick guard who does great work leading the fast break. An improving shooter, Young can hit the three-ball, but is a pass-first sort of point guard. He is a very good defender, and takes great deal of pride in his defense.
This past season, Young averaged 14 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds.
